A PowerPoint presentation, which contains:
an introduction of the topic and group members that tells the class the organization of the presentation
info on 1 subtopics (at least 5 slides per section), in addition to…
a section on basic facts about your subtopics
a discussion of relevant psychology concepts with definitions
concise descriiptions of 1 scholarly studies which are cited in the PowerPoint
scholarly studies must be peer-reviewed and discuss their own data. Make sure you give the citations verbally during the presentation and they are listed in the references both on the PowerPoint and on the handout in APA format
an IMPACTFUL audio/visual component
a take home message
a 1-page handout for class members (cannot exceed two sides of a paper)
a separate reference page in APA format in Microsoft Word with at least 2 references (including the scholarly study references, video(s) references, and any other sources used
Do NOT copy entire paragraphs word-for-word from other sources into your handout, even with citations, whole copied paragraphs equal plagiarism (it’s you using someone else’s work to substitute for your own work) and is not allowed.
Psychology concepts:
Does it give basic facts about where the culture is (including a map), how many people are in that culture, race/ ethnicity breakdown, religious breakdown, etc.
Does it list where the culture stands on Hofstede’s cultural dimensions, including an example/belief/behavior for each dimension?
Does it include and DEFINE all relevant psychological concepts?
Does it include and DEFINE important culture terms?
Gives LOTS of info on EACH subtopic (scholarly studies support this info, but do not take the place of this info -there should be at least 5 slides for each subsection PLUS any scholarly studies)
Study 1 described and CITED?
who was in the study?
what was done
What are main findings?
Study 2 described and CITED?

What are main findings?
Does it go beyond the information delivered in the course? _________
Audio/visual component(s):
Does it have an introduction telling us what the video is about and how much to watch?
Does the audio/visual component make the audience care about the topic? (aka NOT JUST
STALE VIDEO CLIPS with definitions)
Does the audio/visual component add or detract from the presentation and is it placed in the correct
subtopic?
