Writing and Presenting a Short Research Paper on Internal Environment, Resources, and Capabilities of Organizations

Instructions:

Based on Chapter 4 in the module titled “Evaluating a Company’s Resources, Capabilities, and Competitive Strength” and the Strategic Management textbook.

Define and explain the concept of internal capabilities of an organization and their relationship to competitive advantage, while also highlighting the differences between resources and capabilities.

Search for five (5) recent, reliable, and peer-reviewed sources published after 2020. These sources should come from recognized academic journals and should be chosen based on their relevance to the internal environment of organizations, focusing on the resources and capabilities necessary for achieving a competitive advantage. Additional sources can be included, but only as a supplement to the five primary articles.

Summarize the articles and highlight any differences in how internal capabilities are described in the textbook versus the selected articles.
